[Linux] aide demandée

Voilà
mon ordi a grillé avec l'orage récent chez nous dans la vallée de la Bruche.
J'ai acquis un nouvel ordi portable d'occase, le réparateur m'a mis 
UBUNTU 13.04 dessus pour que je puisse récupérer mes données de l'ancien 
disque dur.

MAIS lorsque je veux charger de nouveaux logiciles par  Ubuntu software 
center s'affiche le message "failed to download repository information / 
check your internet connection" avec dans DETAILS les messages 
ci-dessous (voir bas de page).
Je ne connais pas grand chose en informatique, mais ce que je constates 
sur cette version, elle est uniquement en anglais et pas moyen de mettre 
en français, je ne trouve plus mes commandes de la version que j'avais 
avant, pas moyen de configurer mon imprimante Brother DCP-540CN et plein 
de trucs comme cela.
Je suis très embeté, c'est le moins qu'on puisse dire...
