Si sur son impulsion et grâce à elle, d'autres ont été obligé de s'inspirer de sa convivialité voire de la copier à commencer par Debian herself et pourquoi pas à faire mieux pour certaines, alors eh bien tant mieux ! Mais merci Ubuntu pour le dynamisme apporté à l'ensemble de la communauté Linux.</p>

<p style=" margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;">Je n'ai pas souvent eu des bugs sous Kubuntu depuis la 6.06, et quand il y en avait c'était quasiment toujours un pb de pilotes exotiques que j'aurais eu sur n'importe quelle autre distribution et juste en plus merdique à solutionner probablement. Ou encore KDE qui m.....t à l'époque où on a voulu en faire une fête foraine à la mode.</p>

OK. Mais l'honnêteté oblige à se rappeler que ce qui a fait le succès d'Ubuntu est que c'était la première _et seule_ distro qui fonctionnait out of the box sur 90% des machines où on essayait de l'installer. Que c'est pour ça qu'une vaste communauté pleine de vitalité et orientée vers les débutants a pu se construire en un éclair autour d'elle. À une ou deux exceptions près, depuis que je suis passé à Kubuntu, je n'ai plus jamais eu un problème logiciel qui n'a pas trouvé sa solution juste en utilisant un moteur de recherche ou la doc de base de Linux & Debian. Sachant que ça fait un petit moment que je ne suis plus un vrai newbie.</p>

Pas faute d'avoir essayé... Un jour j'ai jeté l'éponge et j'ai commencer à considérer comme de parfaits masochistes les particuliers qui s'échinaient à continuer à vouloir l'utiliser, alors que des distros plus conviviales existaient. Quant aux Redhat like (Mandrake & succ., Suse) elles étaient moins robustes et simples qu'Ubuntu à l'époque de mon passage de Mandrake à Ubuntu. Il y a eu Fedora mais je ne l'ai jamais essayée.</p>

Mint KDE m'attire aussi, par exemple, et la variante « customisée » de Debian de Raphaël Herzog semble tenir ses promesses.</p>

Les mêmes fichiers de configuration, les mêmes boîtes mails etc. m'accompagnent depuis des années. Une partie même depuis les Mandrake !</p>

KDE et les Kubuntu LTS m'apportent ça.</p>
